If you could have a day like this how far could you take your career?
So, if you are anything like me you read each job advertisement and think, yeah yeah, OK I can see that you can write down I get a PD allowance, or that you won’t ask me to do home visits, but what would it actually be like to work there?
So let’s walk through a day as a podiatrist with your colleagues at PridePlus Health.
Your day starts, you roll into clinic, everyones smiling at you, why? Is it because you’re wearing that shirt that you feel super confident in? Or wait, is there some spinach from your smoothie for brekky stuck in your teeth.
No, it’s your team.
They’re happy to see you, and you know what, you’re happy to see them too. Today you’ll have a good day. There’s around 10 clients (yeah that’s what you’ll see most days) in your calendar. And one of them is Mary, you love it when Mary comes through she always brings something from her vegie patch, and her tomatoes are in season.
Yum.
And looking at your list, you see that you’ll be reviewing Toby's achilles program, he’s been improving heaps in the last fortnight after a couple of sessions of shockwave and the work he’s been putting in with his rehab exercises with your team mate Aidan the EP.
A couple of orthotics are there, and real good orthotics, those clean and light devices from footwork which come back perfect every time and are easy to prescribe and scan with all the latest kit in the clinic.
That’s good, because you’ll get to get out of the clinic room and head into the gym (the Strong Room) to issue those orthotics and use the treadmill and equipment to progress their programs.
Lunch.
A young kid, Emily is in to review her heel pain. You used to think reviewing kids in clinic was scary, but now, after seeing a bunch and having clinical reviews with your team mates you look forward to it.
Arvo tea.
A meeting with your mentor Tim who you know is keen to help you grow and achieve something special.
Maybe you’ll raise that idea you had about working on social media, or going back to uni to complete a PhD, or you want some time to work on your side project. You think, it’s a big ask but Tim and Pride have helped your teammates do things just like this in the past, they’ll support you as well.
Plenty of time to finish up your notes which actually was heaps easier than you thought and would you look at the time it’s absolutely flown by you’re ready to head out the door.
Is that the kind of day you’d like to have?
If you join us at PridePlus Health you’ll get to experience podiatry as it can be. Interesting, uplifting and vital to your clients lives, you’ll be valued for the skills and connections you bring to the table.

You’ll collaborate with other podiatrists, physios and EPs on both clinical care, projects and missions. You’ll get mentoring, a PD allowance, and be part of a team wide recognition program where you’ll be awarded vouchers or get to choose where donations are made in your name.
Basically, we think this is a bloody great opportunity to join a bloody great team.
